Air ambulance at scene of serious accident in Althorne
A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with a variety of serious injuries after a crash in Althorne today.
Ambulance crews, one fire engine from Burnham and the Essex Air Ambulance were called to the scene of serious crash between a silver Ford KA and a motorbike in Green Lane at 1.41pm.
A police spokesman said: "The man's condition is being treated by medical staff at the hospital.
"A section of the road is currently closed while the investigation into the cause of the collision is undertaken."
