A MAN in his 50s was sent to hospital after the car he was driving flipped over.

The man lost control of the Ford Mustang in Main Road, Danbury, causing it to overturn at 11.40am yesterday.

He became trapped in his vehicle and firefighters from Chelmsford and Great Baddow cut the car and released him by 12.46pm.

Luckily he escaped the crash with minor injuries and was sent to Broomfield Hospital.

Police closed the road until shortly after 1pm.
