Peckish cat queues up for charity lunch Peckish cat queues up for charity lunch

A STRAY cat got the cream when it went into a charity kitchen for shelter.

A small black and white kitty smelt the good food at the Peoples’ Kitchen at the Salvation Army and decided to seek solace inside the hall in George Street, Harwich, as lunch was being served.

Volunteers took pity on the hungry feline and provided her with a slap up meal of fish cat food which luckily had been donated in the charity’s food collection box.

Washing it down with some water, the cat, which the Army has nicknamed Sweetie, slept off the two tin feast under the hall’s piano.

If you know who the cat belongs to call Jackie or Andrew Jarrold at the Salvation Army on 01255 556499.
