'Help us to run village hall', say volunteers

Villagers are being asked to help out the team running their local hall.

Ramsey War Memorial Hall, in Church Hill, is run by a group of just five volunteers who are responsible for everything from coming up with events to putting out chairs.

Treasurer David Smith is asking villagers to help with hall fundraisers such as jumble sales, bazaars and psychic evenings.

Mr Smith said bookings are going well at the hall, which has recently had a new front door fitted and will have all its windows replaced later this month.
