Rival superstore's legal battle against Tesco store build is quashed

A JUDICIAL review to stop a controversial Tesco superstore build in Manningtree has been thrown out.

A judge refused rival store The Co-operative Society an application for a judicial review, which claimed Tendring Council's permission had been "unlawful" and "irrational".

Tesco is set to built a superstore on Station Road on the border of Lawford and Manningtree.

Hope for Walton then. Lets get Tesco here ASAP. Bring some life and jobs to the place. The High Street here is dead anyway.

Excellent news. The co-op doesnt stock enough and is pricey. the shops in the High Street - well......... so a decent shop in Manningtree - good luck to Tesco
