THE HEADQUARTERS of a community project have been broken into.
The Mayflower Project, based at Harwich Town train station on George Street, was targeted in the early hours of Monday morning (February 6).
Police believe thieves were trying to gain entry to a portable building to steal tools or scrap metal.
They activated an alarm at 00.20 which prevented them from taking anything.
Anyone with information that could assist with the investigation is asked to call police at Harwich on 101, where the officer dealing is Pc Dan Smith, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
