A civic hub for public services across Tendring is a step closer to reality after a major meeting about its development.
Improvement East – a partnership of councils and fire services – last year gave Tendring Council and Essex County Council £150,000 to investigate ways to share buildings.
They hope to create a so-called “single front door” multi-service hub, which will see officers from both councils working in the same building.
Last Friday they held a meeting in Weeley with representatives from the Government, Essex Police, the fire service, ambulance service, NHS North East Essex and others to talk about how services can be delivered better.
