MORE than 100 parents cooked up a storm in their kitchens as part of a national cookathon.
Parents of pupils at Two Village Primary School in Ramsey were given demonstrations on how to make the Tasty Tomato Pasta dish earlier this week ready for Tuesday’s Lets get Cooking event.
Michelle Kusel-Baum, chef at the school, said: “On Monday I gave a demonstration to the children and Tuesday to the parents if they wanted to come in.
“The idea was they went home and did it on Tuesday, for everybody to cook at home on this day and this recipe.”
The cookathon is part of the Let's Get Cooking national scheme, which sees schools run cooking clubs throughout the year.
Mrs Kusel-Baum added: “Every week we do a cooking club.
“All the children that want to have the chance to come along.
“The children thoroughly enjoy it.
“I think it is a good thing that schools are having to have food technology rooms installed again, we all have to eat.”
