A CYCLIST has died after a road collision with an articulated lorry in Harwich.
The A120 was closed for five hours while police carried out initial investigations into the incident, which took place at about 8.30pm on Thursday night near the Phoenix Bridge.
A 20-year-old female cyclist from Harwich died after the collision with a white Iveco articulated lorry being driven by a 53-year-old man from Witham.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital where she later died.
Both vehicles were travelling towards Harwich when the collision occurred.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or with information to contact them at Stanway road policing unit on 0300 333 4444.
