DOZENS of excited youngsters have celebrated the rejuvenation of their run-down playground.
The play area, in The Street, in Bradfield, was re-opened on Friday following a £45,000 revamp.
Children can now use a zip wire, new climbing apparatus, swings and a slide.
There are also benches for parents and carers.
Sue Cunningham, Bradfield Parish Council chairman, said: “The old equipment had almost come to the end of its life.
“The children all clearly enjoyed themselves and got on the play area equipment before the official opening and they loved trying out the new things.
“The parents also loved it because there was a seating area they could use.
“We are very grateful everyone who helped us fund the project and we hope it is enjoyed.”
