A NEW development of nine bungalows has been given the go ahead.
Crown Homes East Anglia submitted plans for the site on Church Hill, Ramsey, which was previously homes to Tyes Gardening Supplies Centre.
The land has since been cleared and has permission for the two houses and four bungalows following an appeal decision two years ago, The latest application is for nine bungalows, each with two parking spaces and a storage shed, with more landscaping and greater gaps between the buildings.
Tendring Council felt that will all the bungalows the scheme is more representative of the surrounding area and its character.
The homes all meet the council's standards in terms of parking, garden size and space between buildings.
The proposal was approved with nine conditions which include enhancing the area with landscaping after a number of tree have already been removed.
Ramsey and Parkeston Parish Council had no objections to the plans and there were no other representations received.
