AN annual award for community engagement was presented to a hard-working town business chamber.
Mark Morsley, Mayor of Manningtree, presented the annual honour to Manningtree District Business Chamber for its contribution to the community.
The chamber encourages trade, industry and commerce within the town to work together to expand business.
"This is really well deserved, the chamber is a real bright spark in our town.
"They do all sorts of things around arranging events for local people such as the Italian market.
"They have worked very hard."
Manningtree Town Council be presented the Community Engagement Award to the chamber on Monday, February 6 at the chamber’s meeting at the Red Lion pub.
Last year the honour went to the Manningtree branch of the Royal British Legion.
