YOUNGSTERS have given a new £2,500 facility at Harwich Sports Centre a big thumbs up.
The centre, which is run by Tendring Council, has recently taken delivery of a Fun Carnival Bounce ‘n’ Slide Interactive Bouncy Castle.
The new piece of kit - along with soft play and sports equipment - is now available for hire as part of children’s birthday party packages.
The first to make the most of the bouncy castle was Archie Thornton and his dad, Ben, was impressed with the facility.
“Our son’s birthday party was at Harwich Sports Centre in December,” he said.
“He loved the new bouncy castle with the slide and everyone had a great time. We would recommend anyone to have their party there.”
Lynda McWilliams, the council’s cabinet member for leisure, health and wellbeing, said the council is always looking to improve its offer at its sites.
“Anything that will get young people active and off the sofa has got to be a good idea,” she said.
