Firefighters tackle blaze in first floor flat
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in a first floor flat.
A fire broke out at a flat in St Austins Lane, Harwich, at around 9.30pm on Tuesday.
On arrival crews reported the flat was 25 per cent alight and heavily smoke logged.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire by 10.35pm.
An investigation will be carried out to establish the cause.
