A MAN killed in a horrific road smash near Manningtree has been named as Jamie Johns, from Clacton.

Officers were called to the B1035 Clacton Road in Horsley Cross at 7.30am on June 30 to reports that a black Fiat Punto had been involved in collision with a Volvo tipper truck.

The Fiat’s engine caught fire but was quickly extinguished.

The car driver, Jamie Johns, aged 20, from Clacton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
