A WOMAN was rushed to hospital after a crash involving a lorry and two cars on the A12.
At about 11am the vehicles collided on the northbound carriageway near junction 31 for East Bergholt.
Delays stretched back past Stratford St Mary for more than an hour while two fire crews from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service cut the woman, aged in her 50s, free.
One lane was closed by police.
Paramedics, from the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust, arrived at the scene near the B1070 and treated a woman.
A spokesman said: "An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle attended and treated a lady in her 50s with a suspected head injury.
"She was taken to Ipswich Hospital for further care."
