REVELLERS young and old turned out in force to celebrate the Queen’s big day with a royal birthday bash.
Hundreds of children and parents lined South Street, in Manningtree, to enjoy a range of whacky activities and games on Saturday.
The town was decorated with red, white and blue flags and each individual shop adorned their windows with a splash of patriotic colour.
The event was organised for the Manningtree Business Chamber by local theatre company The Grand Theatre of Lemmings.
Highlights included a Mad Hatter’s tea party, stilt walking guardsmen, royal face painting, a Punch and Judy show and a visit from a life sized camel.
Singer Jude McIntyre provided a breath-taking soundtrack for the special day.
All activities were free and included decorating home- made, crown shaped biscuits, a circus workshop, pom pom making and splat the rat.
A guess the age of the Queen competition in shop windows
