Commuters were left stranded at Manningtree Railway Station this morning as trains were cancelled for up to two hours.
The last train to run from the station was at 8.45am.
Services were then cancelled due to an incident on the line at Needham Market in Suffolk.
Derek Monnery, of the Manningtree Rail Users Association, said up to 100 passengers were left waiting at the station despite an empty train going past.
