AN exhibition will display the result of two years’ work by noted artist Thomas Robinson.
Starting tomorrow, the North House Gallery, in Manningtree will present the display, which comprises landscapes and portrait heads made from life and a series entitled Greek Street.
Thomas Robinson, born in 1979, trained at the Byam Shaw School of Art and the Royal Drawing School.
Influenced by David Bomberg and the Borough Group of painters, Robinson’s work is the result of long periods of isolation in the Channel Islands and in East Anglia – coupled with intensive study of painting and sculpture.
Since 2012 he has worked mainly outside, using seven acres of land in rural Norfolk where trees, flat areas of marsh, streams and pond naturally form the landscape.
Robinson works out of a studio on the edge of the land, enabling a rainfree space for him to focus.
The exhibition will run every Saturday from 10am to 5pm until the final day on October 31.
