A LEGENDARY comic star from one of the most loved British sitcoms of all time is coming to the Electric Palace on Thursday.

John Challis, famous for playing secondhand car salesman Boycie in Only Fools and Horses, will be telling fans about his role in a one-man show.

John returns to Harwich two years after his last visit, having seen overwhelming demand for another show from fans on Twitter.

His show, entitled Only Fools and Boycie, will feature stories from his time on the series, as well as anecdotes from his time with huge stars, including Marlon Brando, George Best and the Beatles.

John said: “It’s an intimate evening with me, in which I talk about my life and my years in Only Fools and Horses.

“Only Fools and Horses changed my life and it’s prompted some very funny episodes.

“People also get the chance to ask a few questions and I also meet the fans and sign copies of my autobiography following the show.

“I’ve got a lifetime’s worth of material to choose from – so many things have happened in my life that it’s never difficult to pick up a funny anecdote.

“I shared Marlon Brando’s dressing room when I was touring a play in America, I drank with George Best when he was the country’s most famous footballer and I watched in horror as Oliver Reed smashed up a hotel room – and that’s before we even get to Only Fools and Horses.

“I’ve lived a remarkable life and it’s a real thrill to be able to share some of my stories with fans.”

A percentage of profits from the show will go towards the Mayflower Project.

The show starts at 7.30pm, with tickets costing £15. To book, go to boycieinharwich 2015.eventbrite.co.uk
