A COMMUNITY is rallying together to raise cash to repair "senseless" damage at a popular nature reserve after the site was attacked for the third time in a week.
Bobbit's Hole in Main Road, Dovercourt has been targetted three times by vandals.
Duck houses were smashed and memorial benches thrown into the pond.
Furious at the damage, Sarah Groves, of Mayflower Avenue has set up a fundraising website to help restore the wildlife haven, which has been run by the Harwich Society for 15 years.
She said: "They think it will cost about £1,000 to repair just the walkway and the fencing so I thought if I could raise £1,500 it would cover that and any extra needed."
Harwich Society chairman, Colin Farnell, said they have been overwhelmed by the support from the local community.
