A FAMILY fun day of skating, bouncy castles and even an 80s-themed roller disco is set to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust this weekend.

Dovercourt Skating Rink is hosting the event on Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

Wristbands can be purchased for kids to enjoy sessions from 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm on giant slides and bouncy castles.

Aside from strapping on the skates and hitting the rink, there will be stalls, hot and cold food, including a barbecue available all day.

From 7pm-11pm, the disco ball and wigs will be brought out for the 1980s disco.

A DJ will supply the tunes, with plenty of hot food to enjoy as well as a fully licensed bar.

The event is being held in conjunction with a fundraising charity challenge, which will see Neil Howell skate non-stop for six hours from 7am at the rink.

Visitors are urged to support him in his challenge, which is also in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
