AN historic building in Harwich is set to become accessible to all.
Tendring Council has approved plans to install a chairlift at the Guildhall in Church Street.
The lift will help people get to the first floor.
Harwich Town Council applied for Listed Building Consent to be able to provide the facility in the Grade I Listed building.
English Heritage had visited the site and decided that a stair lift was justified.
The installation of the lift will allow planning meetings and other engagements to be resumed at the Guildhall.
