YOUNGSTERS will be showcasing their musical talents at a special concert hosted by Stour Valley Arts and Music.

Some of the most gifted musicians from local schools and colleges have been given the opportunity to star in the show at St Mary’s Church, in East Bergholt, tomorrow at 5.30pm at its Young Musicians’ Concert.

Among the performers is 18-year-old George Pertwee, who will be playing the marimba.

Also an accomplished drummer, he is a sixth-form student at the Colchester Royal Grammar School and will be going to Trinity College of Music in September.

George also plays for the Essex Youth Orchestra and has been studying at the Junior Guildhall since 2012.

Tom Brown, 14, of East Bergholt, will be playing the trumpet, while singer Maia Elsey, 15, will also be performing the songs from the shows.

Tickets cost £8 (£4 children) from Birte Kelly on 01206 298954 or e-mail info@svam.org.uk
