Estate agency say 16 people are fighting it out for every home in Manningtree
ENGLAND’s smallest town is experiencing a property boom with 16 people fighting it out for every home in the area.
House prices are being pushed up in Manningtree as the number of people wanting to buy in the town soars, according to haart’s monthly Property Index.
Latest figures show there are 16 people registered with haart’s High Street branch for every property on their books.
And the average house price for a detached home has increased by 2.65 per cent in the last quarter to £224,286.
Manningtree branch manager Jack Chandler said: “To put it simply, where there is more demand, there is increased competition, which means sale prices increase.
“We are really seeing Manningtree thrive.”
