YOUNGSTERS have celebrated Chinese New Year by making lanterns and masks.
The Project, a youth group run from the Ark Centre in Harwich, learned about Chinese culture.
They also enjoyed a Chinese banquet provided by the Mandarin House in the town and were joined by Harwich mayor and mayoress Alan and Sylvia Todd.
Claire Hyams-Morgan, who runs the group, said: “They [the Mandarin House] supplied us with amazing food, calendars and chopsticks, which all the children loved trying.
“The children shared the information on the new year with the mayor and mayoress and showed them their amazing dragon masks they had made before we all sat down to eat.”
The Project was launched in October and is run by Clare, Libbie Millar and Kelly Warner.
