CAT lovers who have launched their own rescue centre are calling for help to care for the unwanted pets.
Tara Scott opened Kitty Kat Rescue in an outbuilding at her home in Lawford after being struck by the need in the area.
She now has 11 cats in her care, as well as in foster homes, but with more calls coming all the time, more fosterers area needed to look after cats unable to stay at the centre.
Two black-and-white cats called Socks and Binksy are the longest-serving residents of the rescue centre, having been handed to Tara in October.
The centre, which hopes to be officially registered as a charity, is in need of donations of food, blankets and cat litter, as well as money to fund the neutering, other vet bills and heating costs.
