Hopes for supermarket remain if Tesco sells Manningtree land
A RIVAL supermarket could begin building on the site by the end of the year, it has been claimed.
Tendring Council is set to hold a meeting with Tesco to find out what its intentions are for the site.
This could include selling it on to another supermarket or a different buyer.
Carlo Guglielmi, Tendring Council planning boss and Manningtree councillor, said: “If they intend to sell the site with the current planning permission, whoever buys it has got until November 2015 to discharge the last condition."
