AN action group has been set up to fight proposals for hundreds of homes in Brantham.
Property experts St Francis Group want to build 300 homes on greenfield land in the village.
Now a group known as Brantham HOGS – Hands Off our Greenfield Space – has been set up in an effort to lobby politicians and councillors over the plans.
St Francis Group previously said it needed millions of pounds generated by housing on the greenfield site to redevelop the industrial estate – the former home of plastics firm Wardle Storey, which shut six years ago.
It intends to submit plans for the homes to Babergh Council in the coming weeks.
But HOGS action group chairman Alex Toms said: “This is part of the countryside will be lost forever if the developers get their way."
