A MAN chased a teenager who stole his car, and held him until police officers arrived to arrest him.
Ben Gooding, 28, was sitting in the living room of his partner’s house when he heard the distinctive sound of his car starting up.
He ran outside and saw it being driving away down Williamsburg Avenue, in Dovercourt, at about 7.30pm on Saturday night.
He chased the car about 20 metres down the road.
Mr Gooding, who also lives in Harwich and works as a welder, said: “Luckily enough he had stalled it at the end of the road so it gave me enough time to get to the car."
