A NEW broadband mast will allow businesses in Tendring to compete with the rest of the world, according to developers.
The 30m telecommunications mast is part of the Tendring Europark development at Horsley Cross.
Permission was granted by Tendring Council last week for the mast which will be able to deliver initial broadband speeds of 100 megabytes across the district.
Speaking on behalf of the promoters Mr Neil Mc Killen of Ickleton Planning Consultancy said delivery of the mast would bring unrivalled benefits to local businesses and homeowners.
He said: “At last businesses in Tendring will be able to compete with the rest of the world on a level playing field.
“It should also encourage and enable more people to work from home, attract new inward investors and more high tech companies to the Tendring district”.
