ARTIST images of the new estate given permission to be built off Cox's Hill in Lawford have been released.
Rose Builders have created computer-generated designs of the homes being built of the development.
The new estate will be named Summers Park and will boast tree-lined avenues for the two to five-bedroom homes and “classic garden squares”.
The 150 homes will also be among the first in the area to be fitted with fibre-optic broadband.
In addition to the housing, which will include eight low-rent homes for locals trying to get on the property ladder, there will be small barn-style offices for employers and an illuminated walking and cycle route, which will connect Summers Park to Lawford Dale and link down to Manningtree station.
More than 2.5 hectares of open space and an equipped play area will also be created with a large pond.
