Get ready for winter event
TIPS and advice on how to prepare for winter will be given out at a special event in Harwich.
Tendring Council’s emergency planning team is hosting the Get Ready for Winter event at the Park Pavilion, in Barrack Lane, Dovercourt, on October 29.
From 10am to 4pm, the Environment Agency, Met Office, trading standards, Essex Fire Service, Affinity Water and Anglian Water will be on hand to give advice.
There will be a chance to pick up tips on issues such as what to do when the temperature drops, there are high winds and heavy rainfall, or the snow falls and roads around the area get iced up.
