Vegetable growers show interest in new allotment sites
VEGETABLE growers have shown interest in new allotment space which could be provided by a parish council.
Mistley Parish Council hopes to provide new allotment space behind affordable homes being built off Harwich Road.
They have been given planning permission by Tendring Council for the access and car parking at the site and have begun to approach previous holders.
At a meeting of the council last Monday it was revealed 20 people had shown interest in the plots which are either full size or half size.
