Manningtree credit union opens
RESIDENTS in Manningtree have the chance to join a credit union.
Colchester Credit Union will be open every Friday between 10am and noon at The Hub, The Lane in Manningtree.
Credit unions give savers a safe place for their money which is protected by the Financial Conduct Authority Compensation Scheme and savers can apply for a loan after having saved a regular amount for three months.
It costs £1 to open an account and Tendring Council will pay the £3 joining fee for new savers.
