A DECISION on plans to build nine new homes in Bradfield have been deferred by a planning committee.

Bennett Homes wants to demolish outbuildings on the site in Barrack Street and put up the houses which will be a mixture of three, four and five bedroom properties.

It would also include parking and alternations to an existing cottage on the site.

The plans have been objected to by Bradfield Parish Council and a number of other local residents in the village amid fears it is overdevelopment.

At a meeting last Tuesday Tendring Council’s planning committee decided to defer the decision so further discussion could take place.

The scheme had been recommended for approval by planning officers with 27 conditions.
