FUMING councillors have vowed to pile pressure on the Highways Agency to install promised safety measures at an A120 danger junction.
Last year, the agency announced plans for a 50mph speed limit and speed cameras near Pellens Corner, Little Bentley.
The junction has been branded an accident blackspot with frequent car crashes.
Work was originally due to start in March, but was pushed back to July.
Tendring Council discussed the delays at a meeting on Tuesday.
Council leader Mick Page said: "I believe they have let the residents down. They owe it to them to look at this scheme as quickly as they can.
“We need to press them into action.”
A Highways Agency spokesman said the final phase of work would start in late September or early October.
