PUPILS have been offered support and counselling following the death of a classmate involved in a cycling accident.
Jake Knott, 15, from East Bergholt, was on holiday with his family in the Lake District last month when he was involved in a collision with a van.
Jake was a Year 10 pupil at East Bergholt High School. Assemblies have been held to remember Jake and offer advice to pupils.
Headteacher Colin Turner paid tribute to Jake.
He said: “Jake joined the school last September and quickly became a popular student with both his peers and the staff who taught him.
“He impressed everybody with his conscientious attitude and was always determined to achieve his very best."
