Woman lied in bid to get rid of dog
A WOMAN has agreed to pay £50 to an animal charity after lying to a council warden by claiming her dog was a stray.
Tendring Council’s dog warden was called in June by the woman from the Harwich area, who said she had found a German Shepherd cross.
However, investigations revealed she was the owner.
Nick Turner, environment and coast protection cabinet member, said: "We will always investigate and make every attempt to trace any owner who has abandoned their dog."
