FESTIVAL organisers are inviting people to submit art works of place that are not normally known as tourist destinations for an exhibition.

The Harwich Festival of the Arts will be putting on a display entitled “Progression” and are looking for pictures of Beacon Hill fort, Carless, Parkeston Quay and other building or derelict sites.

Work will be displayed at an Art Quarter based in the back room of the Alma, upstairs in The New Bell and as a new addition this year, at the Old Bank Studio in King’s Quay Street, Harwich.

Manager Bev Caleno said: “I am pleased to be able to contribute to the Harwich Festival of the Arts 2014 in this way and look forward to being a part of what is going on.”

The deadline for submissions is April 25 and full details about how to submit work can be found at harwichfestival.co.uk.
