A BROTHER and sister cycling duo have helped raise more than £6,500 for St Helena Hospice in memory of their dad.

Darren King and Suzanne Seamen-King will be joined by eight friends when they take on a 300 mile fundraising bike ride from London to Paris on May 14.

Darren said: "In July last year I lost my 68-year-old father, Jonathon King, to cancer and from that day on I felt the need to channel my efforts into fundraising."

Darren, 37, hopes to raise £10,000 for the hospice, which costs £6million to run every year.

On May 10 the team will be at Morrisons car park in Harwich with music, cakes and even spinning machines to keep the Tour de Tendring and Women's Tour cycling theme going throughout the weekend.
