A HEAVILY pregnant commuter has hit out at railway bosses after constant disruption to her daily journey.

Kate Gornall of Mistley, has seen the Abellio Greater Anglia service from Harwich International to Cambridge delayed and cancelled several times since bad weather in December.

Mrs Gornall, who is eight months pregnant, has been forced to catch a later train, travel to Manningtree and wait for a connection or drive to her office at Ipswich Borough Council meaning her £800 season ticket is useless.

“The most frustrating thing is the lack of information at the time," she said.

“I have been fortunate because my bosses understand this problem and I am able to make the time up at the end of the day.”

An Albellio Greater Anglia spokesman said: “We're sorry for the recent occasions when the 7.50am Harwich to Cambridge service has not operated as scheduled between Harwich and Ipswich.

"We are working closely with our industry partners to resolve these issues as quickly as possible and we expect the current situation to improve over the coming days as trains return into service."
