Halstead: Disgraced banker has new challenge - to find his daughter

Almost six years have passed since Gary Mulgrew last saw his daughter.

The former high flying banker spent a year in jail in a notorious Texan prison after losing an extradition battle in 2006 and eventually admitting fraud.

After spending endless days locked up in the Big Spring Federal Correctional Institution, Mr Mulgrew served time in seven different prisons in the US and England.

Throughout all his prison time one thing remained constant.

He said: "My two children always pulled me through.

"Children sometimes blame themselves for things and I want Cara Katrina to know that she was always loved and I think about her every day."
