A headteacher has criticised “absurd” proposals to change school inspections that could hide the significant process being made by teachers.
Mike Murray, headteacher at Ramsey College, in Colne Road, Halstead, believes that the hard work of staff and pupils could be masked by proposed changes to Ofsted inspection reports.
Inspectors want to change the “satisfactory” rating currently given to schools to “requires improvement”.
