A carer has written a guide to Essex specifically for people with disabilities.
Gosfield resident Lyndie Price looks after people in the Braintree district who have learning difficulties, are blind, deaf or have other physical disabilities.
Part of her job is taking them out for the day and she has to make sure the venues are suitable for their needs and within their budget.
After being “caught out a few times” Miss Price decided to compile a list of attractions across Essex, writing about them from the point of view of a carer.
In her book, she has noted details such as whether the attraction meets communications needs for people with sensory loss, whether there is free parking, disabled access and if guide dogs are allowed.
