How about stopping for a cake after you have posted your parcel in Castle Hedingham?

Angel Corner in St James's Street houses a post office, shop, community information point and Well Being centre under one roof.

The latest addition to the community facility is Fairy on a Ragweed – a company owned by Cara Neal which sells cakes, bread and homeware.

At the venture’s launch at Angel Corner yesterday cakes sold out two hours before the end of the day, said postmistress Tracey Harper.

She said: “It went extremely well. It was very popular and she was packed all day.

“I think it will be successful.”
