The Empire Theatre is to play host to one of the greatest bands on the tribute act scene next month.

On Sunday 3 December, T.Rextasy will take to the Empire stage for an evening of powerful tribute to the late Marc Bolan, one of the pioneers of the glam rock genre.

With their uncanny doppelganger lead singer and lead guitarist, Danielz, T.Rextasy perform a powerful and mesmerising presentation of Marc Bolan’s rock and pop anthems.

The band made their debut on back in September 1992 in a small club in Hackney, East London. The venue sold out with new and old T.Rex fans, including ex-T.Rex drummer, Bill Legend.

Their quality is assured, as they have toured with the likes of Roy Wood, The Sweet, Slade, Ian Hunter, and Status Quo.

Always looking to engage their audience in the most exciting way possible, T.Rextasy always include T.Rex’s Top 20 hits such as: Metal Guru, Jeepster, Telegram Sam, Hot Love, Children of the Revolution, Ride a White Swan, Get it On, I Love to Boogie, New York City, The Groover, Solid Gold Easy Action, and 20th Century Boy.

They have not only played the Glam Rock nostalgia gigs, but also with top indie bands at acclaimed events and venues worldwide, such as at the Phoenix Festival in Stratford-upon-Avon, as well as the prestigious Midtfyns Festival in Denmark, where they appeared with Blur and Iron Maiden.

In the summer of 1997, the band were also asked to appear with Status Quo at Rugen Island in Germany.

They are highly respected among their peers, with Bill Legend having said of them: “They’re the closest you’re ever going to get to the real thing.”

Doors will open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.

Tickets are priced at £15 per person.
