A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries when her car crashed into a tree.
The woman in her 50s suffered serious injuries to her leg, pelvis and abdomen in the crash in Foxearth at around 8.20am this morning.
The ambulance service received a call at 8.26am and sent a rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer, ambulance crew, and air ambulance from the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) charity.
Medics arrived within six minutes of the call.
After receiving treatment at the scene, she was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital in a serious condition.
