AN art studio owner has thanked members of the public who helped her after her stall at a Christmas fair was destroyed by a bike.
Plates, art and other crafts were left damaged or broken when the bike went into the stall in Halstead.
Mia McKenna, who set up Creative Spaces in Parsonage Street earlier this year, believes as much as £400 of stock was destroyed.
But she has praised members of the public after they came to help her tidy up.
She was also handed £75 which had been collected throughout the day to help with her costs.
Mia said: “It broke every single item and completely ruined my day.
“I would like to say thank you to the community – they really pulled together.”
She added: “I would really like to thank everyone who donated.
“There is a lovely community spirit in Halstead.
“People have shown how nice they can be. They have shown my eight-year-old an example of how kind people are.”
Mia was forced to leave the fair early after the incident but is asking anyone who had been interested in buying items to contact her by calling 07864147481 or visiting www.facebook.com/creativesspaces.
