The Halstead and District Local History Society has released its programme of events for the start of the year.
On January 21, there will be an AGM followed by a show and tell, where members bring along an item with a local collection and tell its story.
On February 18, a talk will be given by John Lowe, chairman of the trustees for the Museum of Power, Maldon, about preserving heritage for the future.
On March 17, a talk will be given by Trevor Brookes on A School Kid's Transport of Delight.
All meeting start at 7.30pm in the Baptist Church, Hedingham Road.
Membership is £15 per year, of £25 for couples.
For those under 30, membership is free.
To attend a talk without joining costs £5.
